L-Cam is ideal for controlling any type of 2 or 3 axis Milling machine, XYZ table or custom positioning table. It is a completely integrated Motion control, Importing, editing and toolpath program that is graphically oriented and easy to use.

Lcam was written by Larken Automation over a period of over 8 years and has many features necessary for high productivity and ease of use in the machining, signmaking and woodworking industries.

Lcam runs in Dos on a 486/Pentium PC and controls all functions of the router system . It imports your design file and allows you to do editing( move, scale, rotate etc), set cutting speeds and depths etc, then controls the motion of the table.

 - One of the main features of Lcam is its vector-look ahead motion control. This means that Lcam runs your table much faster and smoother around complex curves and graphics without the pausing on each vector or jitter that competative programs can give.

Lcam will drive any standard step/direction 'stepper motor drivers' via the printer port. We include our Parallel port interface board to make hookup much easier. The interface board lets you connect your 3 stepper drivers and also has inputs for Stop, x,y and z home/overtravel switches and has a spindle start and automatic spindle shut off function.

LCAM Features

IMPORTING 
  • Lcam Imports HPGL,DXF EPS, and G-CODE formats. The versatile SORT command can cleanup the path, remove unecessary too lifts and reduce job time. Finished Jobs can also be saved in Lcam for quick reloading.

    • Lcam can import files from Corel Draw, AutoCad, Design Cad etc and drivers are also supplied to interface Lcam with most major sign softwares such as CasMate, SignLab and FlexiEngrave etc.
    EDITING  There is a full set of graphical editing commands such as Copy, Paste, Rotate , Scale, Stretch, Change-Layer, Move, Erase and others . Excellect control of postioning of objects to 0.001" using mouse and cursor keys.
    LAYER SYSTEM  For efficient control of different sections of a job and also depths,and tool change control, Lcam has a fast easy to use color-coded layer system. Each layer can have a depth, finish path, tool number, and be turned on or off when cutting. You can have 3D contours within layers as well . Also a layer can be a drafting/template layer just for reference.
    TOOL PATH : Cutter Direction control, Entry-point editing,  3D tool path support and others, Cut order sequenceing, Sorting, editing
    DRAWING  Drawing commands such as Line, Arc, Box and Circle, as well as specialty machining commands like "Spiral 3d Bore" and others. Defineable cursor step, Snap to intersection and Trip/Extend.
    VIEWING : Full set of Zoom commands , Tool path simulation showing the combination of cutter shape and zdepth. 3D viewing of tool path. Our Zoom command is always live and can be used while in any command (excellent for positioning objects).
    XY TABLE CONTROL Lcam has a very user friendly and predictable interface to the XYZ table. You can stop the job at any time and change depths and speeds and then continue, re-start or re-cut a section. Also Multi-pass routing control, also Origin Offsetting, Job rotating, Paneling of long signs, and 3D carving and 3D surface modeling capability. Also tool change prompting and dual Z axis control
     Control of Dual Z heads standard.   Also Gantry systems with Dual X motors and AutoSquaring standard.

    There are 2 levels of Lcam. All levels include our interface board that makes connecting to stepper drivers and stop and home switches easy. Interface goes in your controller box.    No board to install in PC
