Lcam runs in Dos on a 486/Pentium PC and controls all functions of the router system . It imports your design file and allows you to do editing( move, scale, rotate etc), set cutting speeds and depths etc, then controls the motion of the table.
- One of the main features of Lcam is its vector-look ahead motion control. This means that Lcam runs your table much faster and smoother around complex curves and graphics without the pausing on each vector or jitter that competative programs can give.
Lcam will drive any standard step/direction 'stepper motor drivers' via the printer port. We include our Parallel port interface board to make hookup much easier. The interface board lets you connect your 3 stepper drivers and also has inputs for Stop, x,y and z home/overtravel switches and has a spindle start and automatic spindle shut off function.

Lcam can import files from Corel Draw, AutoCad, Design Cad etc and drivers are also supplied to interface Lcam with most major sign softwares such as CasMate, SignLab and FlexiEngrave etc. |

| LAYER SYSTEM | For efficient control of different sections of a job and also depths,and tool change control, Lcam has a fast easy to use color-coded layer system. Each layer can have a depth, finish path, tool number, and be turned on or off when cutting. You can have 3D contours within layers as well . Also a layer can be a drafting/template layer just for reference. |
